The US are coming home from the World Cup. After a hard fought battle (and an incredible goal by Julian Green in overtime) (not to mention Tim Howard's amazing saves over and over, he is a superhero) the USA is coming home with a 2-1 loss.
However they should be extremely proud of themselves! We are! Our country has never before responded to futball with this unquenchable enthusiasm.
They led us through three drama coated games and had us fall in love with the team. They are absolutely incredible. With Clint Dempsey scoring the 6th fastest goal after the first kick off in history, Green and Brooks -two rookie subs- that scored after coming in off the bench, Beasley on defense has became my role model as a defender with some amazing runs and plays, the invincible Tim Howard making superman saves and so many other talented players - Beckerman, Bradley, Jones, Wondolowski, Cameron, Yedlin, Bedoya. Johnson. Johannsson, Rimando, Zusi, Guzan, Gonzalez, Diskerud, Chandler, Besler and Altidore- they had our country mesmerized. And not to mention coach Jurgen Klinsmann, whom you have to admire for his leadership of this history making team.
I am so excited for 2018!
Congratulations to the USA World Cup team! You got the world to sit up and pay attention!
